NotesAbout this event
It all started back in the 20th century. It was the 1980s and hair metal bands ruled. The radio was jam packed with synthesized pop. Emerging hip-hop was all the rage.
That's when three teenage buddies decided it was a good time to start an American, roots-rock, blues band. They loved Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Muddy Waters and B.B. King. Their classmates didn't know what to make of them but they boogied anyway.
Calling themselves Unfinished Business, Rob Babson, Dean Clegg and Troy R. Bennett started rocking high school dances, barbecues, band battles and all-night parties around their high school in Maine. After graduation they kept on playing but not together. Fate had other plans for them. For the next 30 years, each followed different paths through parallel lives of professional music-making.Now, after a three-decade hiatus, they're back together as the Unfinished Blues Band because they're not done yet.
They're still all about the basics: Swinging Drums, grooving bass lines and soulful guitar. Its all they need to make you dance, stomp and sing along.
Babson's hands fly like lightning over his shining guitar strings. He wrings pathos and fury from its electrified, wooden body. Clegg, is the beating heart of the band. He hammers out tight rhythms on the drums with his brain and all four limbs. Bennett's fingers bring the bottom all the way to the top. His rumble-tumble bass lines never stop trucking.
They all sing and you will, too. You wont be able to help yourself.
Together, they've got nearly a hundred years of combined performing experience. As old friends, they're finding renewed energy in the music they make together. The spark is still alive and burning brighter than ever.
Tickets are $18.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door.

NotesMulligan Stew is a three-piece band built for maximum boil-over. Hunter Walkup is the guitar-slinging, singing bag of bones from Texas. Alden Bertinet, the Goose, holds down the low end on bass, golden hair flowing freely. And on drums is ArchBishop Von Stewgler (Ethan Parker), the one-take wonder, keeping the chaos locked in.
AZV (a-zed-five) is a five-piece alt-rock band from Bangor, Maine, fronted by Ethan Parker, with Colby Leavitt on bass, Ethan O’Brien on rhythm guitar, Andrew Gallogly on drums, and Judah Lemke on keyboards. Drawing from the alternative sounds of the ’90s and the progressive influences of the ’70s, AZV blends those roots with a modern edge all their own.
Formed in September 2024, AZV has completed recording their debut album and is currently at work on their second. The band has honed its sound at Husson University and continues its mission to deliver music that is both crushing and beautiful—to the masses.

NotesCome hear these local blues masters exhibit their devotion to this cornerstone of American Music.
Blues Prophets are Doug Wainoris, guitar/vocals. DW Gill, harmonica/vocals. Jeffrey Davison, drums/vocals. Jamie Isaacson, piano. Jack Tukey, bass guitar. The Blues Prophets began as “The New England Blues Prophets” rehearsing in the basement of a house in Norridgewock, ME back in 1976. Even as teenagers, the Blues Prophets became lifelong disciples of the music, playing in the funkier clubs in the area like the Chez Paree, Emma's Hotel Lounge and the Manoir Hotel under an assortment of band names, gleaning skills from the older musicians who were already established in the club circuit. Live music was everywhere in those years and to the band’s surprise; patrons embraced the idea and sound of a band that played the blues and nothing else. The Prophets were many local Maine music patrons’ first introduction to the blues.
The Blues Prophets traveled to the four corners of Chicago, many stages in New Orleans, Boston and throughout Maine/New England honing their craft. During those travels the band met and performed with scores of the living blues heroes of the day like Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, James Cotton, Professor Longhair, KoKo Taylor, Jimmy Johnson , Otis Rush, and many more. During the 70's and 80's, the band became an institution on the club scene in Maine and inspired other musicians to turn their attention to the blues, working the gritty Chicago style and other derivative sounds into their own bands. Certain clubs in Maine were even denoted as “blues clubs” since they hired not only local blues acts, but national touring blues acts. Many blues veterans on the road were delighted to learn that clubs like the Cellar Door in Auburn, Benjamin’s in Bangor and an out of the way place in Monroe called The Red Barn were great stopovers, complete with blues thirsty crowds, allowing them to make a little more money on the way to their next destination point in the tour. Songwriter Larry John McNally wrote an article about the Blues Prophets for a local music publication in the mid 1970's; "This is good time music for dancing and having fun, not crying in your beer. Quint Davis, famed promoter for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival was quoted as saying in advance of the 1979 Festival, "A great young blues band from, Maine? I have to have them at the festival".
